Neymar breaks Messi's record for Champions League assists in a season

The 25-year-old levelled the record of seven assists during Barca's final group stage game and went onto break it in Wednesday's dramatic win over PSG.

 

Neymar has broken the record of Champions League assists in a season after setting up Sergi Roberto in Barcelona's dramatic 6-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Having scored twice himself, the forward then capped a superb display to lift the ball over the PSG defence, where Roberto was waiting to poke the ball past Kevin Trapp in goal.

Neymar has 8 assists in the Champions League this season; at least 3 more than any other player in the competition.
